Bruno Mars Opens The Romantic Tour in Las Vegas — A 26-Song Masterclass That Reminded Everyone Why He Is Irreplaceable

Bruno Mars had not toured as a solo headliner in nearly a decade. The wait ended on April 10 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, in front of 50,000 people. He opened with ‘Risk It All’ — a ballad, the second single from his 2026 album The Romantic. It was a statement of intent: this is not a pop concert designed to generate maximum energy in the first thirty seconds. This is a musical experience with an arc, an emotional thesis, and a theatrical coherence that sustains for twenty-six songs.

The city’s tribute

Las Vegas honoured Mars before the show even began. A street was officially renamed ‘Bruno Mars Drive.’ The Nevada Governor issued a proclamation. The city gave him a key. For an artist who has reportedly generated more than $200 million through his two Las Vegas residencies, this was the institutional acknowledgement of a relationship between a performer and a city that has become genuinely historic.

The numbers

The Romantic Tour set the record for the highest single-day ticket sales in Live Nation history: 2.1 million tickets sold in one day — a new global Ticketmaster record. From an original 39 dates, the tour expanded to over 80 shows. At stadiums holding between 45,000 and 70,000 people, the tour is on course to become one of the highest-grossing concert events in history
